Some quick background info on this for people who are glossing over this post:
Black woman driving a nice car through Harlem gets pulled over by NYPD, and accused of being high on marijuana. They impound her car. No marijuana is found either in the car nor in her system.
Next day, she goes to pick up her vehicle, complains about her treatment. Forcibly sedated and put into a hospital. Kept there for being “delusional” and “emotional”. She tells them that she has a job, shouldn’t be there, Barack Obama (the account not run by him, but still) followers her on twitter. All true! All easily verifiable. They ignored that, said she had issues testing reality, kept her there. They still kept her there for 8 days and then released with a $13,000 bill. Yes, she’s lawyered up and pressing charges.
This shit is crazy.
