My friend is going on a date and we set up a system

So she doesn’t date a lot, I have PTSD, and she met the guy on the internet. She’s nervous; I’m protective. So we set up a system of text codes. She is a HUGE Captain America fan, so naturally, it’s MCU-based for easy memorization. The idea is that she can text either the full name or the initial by a certain point in the date, and I’ll respond accordingly. (If she hasn’t texted by a certain point, and doesn’t respond to a “?” text/call, we go straight to emergency mode.)

The code’s vaguely amusing:

Steve/S: things are going great; no cause for alarm
Natasha/N: stand by; I might need you
Jarvis/J: call with a diversion; give me an excuse to leave
Bucky/B: get your ass over here and rescue me
Phil/P: call the cops

This is doubly funny because 1) we’ve joked for quite a while that she’s secretly Steve; and 2) we already refer to my protective streak as “Bucky mode”.
