Hello everyone! This is my girlfriend, Whitney, a 21-year-old transgender woman. We’re trying to raise money for her to get “GRS” or Genital Reconstruction Surgery.
Whitney suffers from gender dysphoria, where she experiences severe distress over parts of her anatomy. Her genital anatomy has been a constant, significant source of dysphoria since childhood. Lately, it’s been really wearing her down. She’s been suicidal nearly every night, and there not much left keeping her around. She means the world to me; I’m terrified of losing her, but I feel if this doesn’t get done soon that just might happen.
Some people more familiar with transgender surgeries might be wondering why we’re only asking for 10k when GRS typically costs around 30k or more. Her, her parents, and I should be able to get ~20K within 12 to 18 months. However, the last 10k would take an extra year or more. I don’t know if she can hold out that long. We’ve looked at all other options, but we really need the help of benevolent others.
This surgery would change Whitney’s life in an immeasurable way. She’d be confident, happy, have significantly less dysphoria, be able to work, feel normal, and more. Thank you for looking! If you can donate any amount, even $1, you would help change her life in such a meaningful way.
