so there’s gonna be a film called stonewall coming out. as you can probably guess it’s about the stonewall riots. it’s not a documentary it’s more like a fictionalized telling of it. it sounded pretty cool so i looked up the cast members and:

People of color who are not allowed to be erased by this movie
Marsha p Johnson – a black bi trans woman who threw the first shot glass at stonewall
Sylvia Rivera – a bi trans Latina who organized w/ the young lords and the black panthers for queer rights. Co founder of S.T.A.R. w/ Marsha
( speaking of bisexuality I’m sure that they’ll also toss out Brenda Howard the mother of pride, a white bi activist who had been fighting for queer rights even before stonewall)
Storme Delarverie – mixed raced black butch lesbian who helped incite riots outside of stonewall as she was being arrested
Miss Major – black trans activist who was at the riots and is still alive today fighting for trans & intersex rights
Of course they are white washing Stonewall, the entire LGBTA movement has become pale white people with colorful hair. God forbid we remind them that the movement was started by Black trans women and people of color.
