mooncoffin:

My mom was really into tabletop RPGs in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and gave me a tip about character naming:  If you’re working in a fantasy context and can’t think of a name suitably other-worldly, grab a bottle of shampoo and read the ingredients.  Take random selections out of the middles of the longest chemical names, and now you know what to call your ranger or cleric or what-have-you.

I remembered this the other day and tried it, and here were the results:

  • Lenedia
  • Thiazo
  • Orois
  • Lisothia
  • Azolin

Pretty useful, I’d say.
