A self-assembling city from the sea: Architect Wolf Hilbertz’s Autopia Ampere builds itself, more or less organically, via the process of electrodeposition. All you basically need are the sea and the Sun.
Well, and someone who thinks up all of this.
Self-building cities are definitely too advanced for the technology in my novel, but let’s file this under “long-term solarpunk” because it’s amazing!
