Uh, no. You will move. All the way over to a smoking area. Tf you think this is?
And if non smokers move that’s when people start to complain with the whole “UHM, WE’RE NOT MONSTERS WE’RE SMOKERS UWU” arguement
like bro i vape 0% nico shit but i still dont condone passive murder, so i move my ass too, get to the damn designated smoking areas.
You chose to start smoking, you chose to light up in a public place.
I did not choose to breathe your fucking smoke.
Get the fuck out of here with your selfish horseshit.
also some of us are FUCKING ALLERGIC
People: hey smoking is extremely bad and is literally your choice but like none of us want to get cancer or die or have potential lung damage cause some of us have lung conditions so could you kindly not smoke directly into my eye lids?
Smokers: HeY! This Is a FrEE country MaN!! DoNT like IT? DonT brEaTH iT!
Smokers children: *grow up with horrible lung damage*
Smokers: how could society do this to my kids?
I like how the world has literally come to arguing over whether people should be able to breathe or not
fr tho, secondhand smoke isdangerous. Smoking is a choice, but you have to confine that choice to yourself. You can’t be exposing people who made the choice not to smoke. Especially because some people (myself included) can’t tolerate even a small amount of smoke. Follow the rules, look for the signs. And even if there’s not a “No Smoking” sign, avoid smoking there unless you own the place or it’s been established explicitly that you CAN smoke there.
It may seem ridiculous to get told not to smoke at all in public, but you literally have no way of knowing when you’re going to encounter someone who can’t breathe even the tiniest bit of your smoke. (Just last week someone in the parking lot was smoking and they walked past me and it set off an asthma attack. Just from that. What am I supposed to do, never go out ever on the off chance that I might pass a smoker? Or the should the smoker, perhaps, finish their smoke in their car, or in a designated smoker area that I know to avoid?)
And as the CDC says, there is no risk free level of exposure to secondhand smoke. So keep it to yourself in your own space, guys.
For real though, the smoke off of bacon when my girlfriend is cooking is enough to trigger an asthma attack. Tobacco smoke is nearly ten times worse then that is.
ALL forms of smoke will set off my asthma. Tobacco, marijuana, even vape smoke will cause it to go. If you are smoking in a public setting, you are ALWAYS risking and harming the people next to you.
You have the right to decide to smoke or not. You do not have the right to make me breathe your second hand smoke, regardless of what it is from. You do not have the right to make all public spaces potentially deadly to other people.
Tobacco smoke can cause sudden and acute cardiac distress (ie, fucking heart attacks) in trans women on HRT.
You never know who you’re gonna fucking kill with that shit. As the smoker, it is your sole responsibility to not make it someone else’s problem.
Sincerely, someone who manages to only smoke around people who want to breathe it with extremely little difficulty.
