Damn this hits hard

Joshua T. Dickerson is not a student in Baltimore City Public Schools. He’s from Atlanta, and he wrote this poem in 2014. He saw a student ask for a pencil from their teacher, and the teacher asked the student to take off one shoe as collateral. The student’s sock was dirty and worn, and other students started making fun of them.
