For someone that’s so, “dependent” on a wheelchair, you really do seem to have a lot of fun out of it; especially when you’re walking, etc. I get that you may “need” it, but I didn’t choose to be in a wheelchair, like you, and I have no use of my legs at all. (I’m sorry that I am upset, but it’s just a trigger of mine. I still like you as a person, but I followed you because I really thought you were dependent on a chair, while making content, which I thought was great. I felt lied to, idk)

(contd.)

I know you’re going to take that the wrong way, but again, I think you’re great, and you bring a lot of people awareness, but I suppose it’s my fault for not knowing you could actually walk.

I think it is important for you to recognize that what you see on my social media is a carefully tailored representation of my life designed to bring in business and interact with clients in a positive, sexy way. It is true, I don’t post photos of myself lying in bed for days on end, crying from the pain. I don’t live-stream my hospital visits throwing up and sobbing in the CAT scan tube. That just wouldn’t be a good business plan, would it?

One of the main reasons I am as vocal about my disabilities as I am on a platform where I sell porn is because I want the world to be a place where people with disabilities can exist freely without condemnation or suspicion based on a stranger’s judgement of their outward appearance.

Something I never expected when I made the decision to share this vulnerable part of myself is the frenzied push-back from a subsection of the disabled community itself that is very, very passionate about guarding the gates to the title “disabled” and the right to use mobility aids. I’ve heard from dozens of disabled people in my inbox and during Disability Visibility Week that they are frightened to use their aids because of the kind of attitude represented in this anon, and that their disability has actually deteriorated because of it. And THAT’S what I want to help change.

If you want to hear more about how I manage scheduling filming and photoshoots to work with my varying abilities and pain, I would be happy to share my little system!
