If anyone’s trying to learn a language I’ve recently discovered this company called the Language Pod Company and it is so much better than Rosetta Stone and it’s completely free (unless you’d like one-one-one teacher-student help then it’s like $25 a month which tbh you shouldn’t really need because they make it really clear in the lessons). It’s super easy to navigate and it even gives you a history of the language. There are audio and video lessons. Real-life situations and different speakers. They even write the letters for you because I know sometime it’s hard to learn to write in a language that doesn’t use the same alphabet that you’re used to. You’re welcome.

If you have blackheads on your nose: Mix together half a spoon of honey and half a spoon of cinnamon. Put enough of the mixture to cover your nose and then massage for 3 mins. Wash it off with warm water and most of the blackheads should be gone!

You can put this all over your face tbh and exfoliate bc it cleans out your pores and makes your skin really soft!

okay so I tried this out tonight before actually reblogging because I was afraid it would be a prank and I didn’t want to cause any of you harm, but it’s legit! All but the few largest blackheads were cleared (which is fine because the largest are the easiest to push out—for me at least) and I used it on my forehead + shoulders also, it makes your skin feel brand new. Fore warning however, it really makes your skin burn in sensitive areas (the area around my nose in this case) so be prepared for that, also your skin gets very pink from the cinnamon burn so best not to do it right before heading out. Yay for easy/natural blackhead cleansers, I’ve been really self conscious about them on my nose for a long time

reblog to save a life

I am going to print this out, laminate it, and keep it with my gloves and spade.

Dreaming of a springtime garden.

My dearest Harto:

Perhaps we could do a version of MDK where we plant a garden together.

Please consider it.

4 Legal Ways To Get Free Textbooks.

political-linguaphile:

howtodropoutofschool:

1. Open Culture:  Not a large a selection, but high quality texts. If you just want to skim a book to brush up on a course you took in ninth grade, download one of these. I have yet to be disappointed.

2. Book Boon: Provides free college-level textbooks in a PDF format. Probably the widest range of subjects on the web. The site is also pretty.

3. Flat World Knowledge: The worlds largest publisher of free and open college textbooks. Humanitie texts are particularly difficult to come by, this site has a great selection in all disciplines.

4. Textbook Revolution:  Some of the books are PDF files, others are viewable online as e-books, or some are simply web sites containing course or multimedia content.

5. Library Pirate: I’ve always had an addiction to torrent based pirating. When this site opened a few months ago, I went a little overboard. After dropping two hundred on a paperback spanish textbook, I downloaded the ebook version illegally. I also got a great Psyc text i’m obsessed with.  It will be interesting to see how this site grows- they already have a great selection.

College bookstores completely rip off their students, so ALWAYS reblog free textbooks!
